Female leadership, internet use, and performance of agricultural cooperatives in Vietnam

Abstract Supporting agricultural cooperatives might contribute to the livelihood improvement of many small‐scale farmers in developing countries. This research examines factors affecting internet use with a focus on female leadership, its effects cooperatives’ economic, social, and innovative performance, distributional economic performance. Our analysis relied data 3,512 collected 2021 from Vietnam. We addressed endogeneity issue impact assessment by employing an instrumental variable approach. results show that leadership was positively significantly associated had positive significant effect returns assets, equity, labor productivity, payment per laborer, contribution union insurance innovation products cooperatives. In addition, unconditional quantile regressions exacerbated income inequality. Enhancing promoting rural education were recommended improve
